Lady Gets Stuck To Toilet Seat!
So, I hadn't heard this story until my friend Staci told me about it yesterday at church. I came home and googled (don't we love google) the story. I got several articles about it and read most of them. It seems that a 35 year old lady was found literally stuck to a toilet seat after her boyfriend called authorities. From what I read this lady, according to her boyfriend, had a phobia about leaving the bathroom and she hadn't come out in two years. He would take her food and clean clothes everyday, and would beg her to come out but she refused to. Well she started to look pretty sick and so he called. They say that from sitting on the toilet for so long that she got some open sores that caused her to stick to the toilet. They think that she had probably sat consistently for a month on the toilet. Anyway, the body fat that was exposed from the sores stuck to the seat and as the body tried to grow more skin to heal the sores the skin grew onto the toilet seat. The boyfriend might be facing charges for not doing something about it. I guess the lady was refusing and fighting when authorities pried the toilet seat from the toilet base so they could take her in to a hospital to have it surgically removed. She didn't want the help.
My thoughts: First of all I hate the bathroom. I'm a get in, get it done, and get out!! I couldn't stand to sit in there for 5 or 10 minutes let alone a month or two years. They haven't said if there are any mental issues with her or her boyfriend yet. Second, wouldn't you think that you would be in so much pain that at some point you would feel a need to get up and at least stretch your legs? I am mixed on whether or not the boyfriend should be charged with anything. I mean if he had been trying to get her to come out and she wouldn't, that's her problem. Is it weird that he wouldn't try to get her help sooner, of course. I don't see why you would want to stay with a person who wouldn't come out of the bathroom. What a GREAT realtionship they must have. Anyway, I just thought this was a funny yet grose story and thought I would share.

The Keel Family Crazy Life!
So, some have been wondering and asking "When are you moving?" Well, we don't know. We don't know when or where. We might stay here in Norman and we might end up in Ada. We'll see. We're starting to look in both areas and figure everything will fall into place and work out in the area we are meant to go. Lately anything and everything has been so crazy. From the car breaking down, to having two landlords rent out from underneath us in Ada, to Buying a new (for us) van. Everything will work out and it will all be ok. We've definatly been blessed. I decided to follow in Chanelle's footsteps and transfer over to the blogspot. I liked how it looked better. Anyway, hopefully this will be a place you can keep up with us on (as long as I can remember to update it regularly), and maybe find something to laugh about. Humor definatly makes life better.
