Our Very Own Michael Phelps!

So, I was on the phone this morning talking to a friend. Silas came in and kept telling me he wanted to take a bath. I told him no, not right now, but while I was distracted he got in anyway. He had goggles on for some reason. When he got out I went in the bathroom and there was water all over the floor. I told him he needed to go back in and dry up the floor after he got dressed. I then got the response :"But MOM, I was just being Michael Phelps!" There you have it, we have our own Michael Phelps in the making! I don't know what made him think that if he told me he was being Michael Phelps I would be ok with the water all over the bathroom, but it was a good try on his part. Needless to say he did dry up the bathroom floor!

Very, very funny. Next time you should tell him that when he's worth as much as Michael Phelps you'll clean up the bathroom for him (or you could have him hire somebody).

By the way, how was his first day of school?

"Silas Keel attempting to break Phelps's 08 record. And he's in the water, there he goes... oh wait his swimsuit seems to have caught on something. Jim can you see that, what in the world. Oh no folks his suit has gotten caught on the drain in the tub. WAIT, he seems to have gotten loose, let's see if he can catch up... oh yes, he has and he is rounding the rubber ducky, and yes, yes, yes, now he is avoiding the shampoo with such grace and style. A born swimmer folks, there he goes and he's done I can't believe it, he has actually done it. What a feat! Amazing. You saw it hear ladies and gentleman. A true Olympic athlete in the making! Congrats to him and his family. Especially his mother who taught him if he was going to swim in the tub, he would have to clean up the mess afterward!
