Children's Music Time

Have your kids ever shown a rather unique interest in music that shocks you? Like Lydia, for instance. For the last couple of weeks she has been hooked on this song "All I Want To Do" by Sugarland, or as we refer to it now, Lydia's Song. If you haven't heard it, check out our playlist. She'll walk around singing the Do oo oo oo oo oo! Do oo oo oo oo oo! Oo oo oo oo oo oo ooooo! part all day.

Then there is Zach who has finally found out about "Wierd Al" Yankovic and true to his nature loving persona is entralled with "Jurasic Park", especially the verse that goes

Someone let T-Rex out of his pen.
I admit those things will harm me,
Cause the sure don't act like Barney.
And they think that I'm their dinner,
Not their friend!
Oh No!
(by the way, Zach just learned that there is a Dinosaur Transformer, He's in heaven!)

Finally we have Silas who keeps his music tastes to himself but has been caught singing a little Yellow Submarine and Strawberry Fields Forever.

At 4, Hannah's favorite song was "Man, I Feel Like a Woman," by Shania Twain. It was great listening to her pipe that song. Sariah walks around singing "Bing Bang" as in "Ooh ah, ooh ah ah, walla walla bing bang!" It's funny what they get themselves attached to. All that really matters is that they listen to music, though. Good on ya! :)

OH I am so proud of Silas' love of the Beatles! That's my boy!
